きものの文様『物語絵』
風景文様の中に、人物や器物などが配されることも多く、日本の文芸作品がテーマとなっているものも多く存在する。特に「源氏物語」は古くから絵巻が遺されたこともあり、きものの文様としても平安時代の雅やかな様子が多く取り入れられている。

Kimono Patterns
People and vessels are often arranged in the landscape patterns, and many of them are based on Japanese literary works. In particular, "The Tale of Genji" has been preserved in picture scrolls since ancient times, and many elegant scenes from the Heian period have been incorporated into the patterns of kimono.
